the loss of hope
who: lightning & hope
summary: hope has been cleansed by Bhunivelze, efficiently possessed by him.
Hope had been missing for nearing one hundred years. No one went to go look for him, no one went to see if he was still alive and many thought that he disappeared in the Chaos. Unfortunately, he was found by Bhunivelze and continuously tortured until he succumbed to the mental, physical and emotion wounds and gave into the tormenting God. Now that he did not have direct control, he also was finally able to leave the Arc on his own -- but only for Bhunivelze's search. Hope wanted to find Lightning, but the Bhunivelze's wish was to revive the savior prematurely and force her into a sense of trust.
Finally, he was able to find her within the depths of Valhalla, somewhere in the chaos he saw a single, blinding light. The light was the only source and he pulled out his boomerang and emotionlessly walked in the direction of the light until the brightness had enveloped him. Hope rose his head back, tilted it back all the way until he saw Lightning's face and Hope nearly lost control of his emotions but the means of possession. Hope had not seen Lightning in so long that his heart fluttered in his chest and his first reaction was to slightly curve his lips into a smile.
"I found you. It is finally time, awake savior." Hope moved his left hand, pressed it down against the edge of her leg and pushed inwards. A brilliant light set from his hand and forced the crystal to break there, a smaller amount of force was applied against to create more fractures until he pulled his hand away. Hope awaited the uncrystallization to process, his face a vacant expression and arms by his side with both eyes attuned to the location with the fractures.

"We can save the ones that are left, not without your help though." Hope took a few steps back and raised his hand and made a motion with his fingers for her to come off the crystalline throne she had slumbered upon. "I knew I could find you." He stated with the utmost sincerity, as much as he could muster.
"He found me when I fell into the sea of Chaos and offered to help me, to save my soul, in exchange for me to search for you. I have been looking for your for nearly one hundred years, Light. All of the Fal'Cie are dead with exception of one that keep some of humanity alive, but just barely." Hope tightened his fist to make emphasis on the direness of the situation. Unfortunately, Hope had a difficult time control his real emotions and suddenly broke the stiffened facade.
"I'm so happy to see you again, I knew you were still alive. I could feel it, I just had to keep looking." Hope nodded up towards her, placed his hand on his heart and genuinely smiled.
